Sherri Murray
Habiger & Associates Elder Law Office |
|
At the age of 15, when her maternal grandmother was diagnosed with terminal lung cancer, Sherri cared for her. Sherri and her mother took her grandmother into their home so that Sherri could personally continue to care for her. Later, Sherri also assisted in caring for her paternal grandmother who was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer. Sherri, herself, was diagnosed with cancer in 2004. She is a cancer survivor and has become an active member of the American Cancer Society, participating in several Relay For Life fundraising events throughout the Southern Illinois region.
Sherri developed special bonds with the residents in a care facility where she worked while in high school. Also, she really enjoys the work that she does at our law firm and finds it very fulfilling to assist seniors. In addition, since joining the firm in 2003, Sherri has participated in each of the annual Memory Walks for the Alzheimer's Association of Southern Illinois.
Sherri has a very positive attitude and is a person of faith. Sherri's greatest joys are her husband and her son. Sherri understands the importance of family and tries to spend as much time with them as possible.

But my caseworker / nursing home intake person / friend / beautician / other advisor has told me rules that are much different than what you are saying. How can you be so sure that you're right?
Thank you for your excellent leadership and many insights at the Young At Heart Seminar at United Methodist Church of Murphysboro on July 13.
